'This bill reflects American failure and frustration,' says al-Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama bin Laden. 'However, this bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap."
'We ask Allah that they only get out of it after losing 200 to 300 hundred thousand killed, in order that we give the spillers of blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson, which will motivate them to review their entire doctrinal and moral system which produced their historic criminal Crusader-Zionist entity,' al-Zawahiri says."I don't doubt this last bit of bluster strikes fear in the heart of many an American hand-wringer; never mind that at the current casualty rate it would take 395 more years of this war to lose 300,000 American soldiers.

Zaw: Very bad, OBL. Evil US Congress wants to pull out of our trap. Without the Crusaders, there is no common enemy; our Mujahideen will soon come under the long knifes of the blasphemousness Shia and even those treacherous Sunni Sheiks will turn on us! OBL: Do not worry, my trusted advisor. Were we not once apologizing to our Mujahideen in Tora Bora for their near-demise? Were we also then not repudiated throughout the entire Jihad World for losing the only true Sharia Law nation in the world?

I have to admit that's clever, salsabob, and there may be some truth to it. But your hypothetical dialogue presumes that the Democrats can be stirred up by anyone/thing other than the prospect of getting whupped in another presidential election.
Al Qaeda supports the Bush Administration's Iraq policy, opposes Democratic withdrawal plan.
Zawahiri opposes the Democratic Congress’ proposed Iraq timetable for withdrawal of US forces hence, al Qaeda has joined forces with the Bush Administration.
