Yep. DeMint: conviction wins over squish any day

DeMint: Tea Party slate will get Republicans to a Senate majority - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room:

'The quickest way to 60 votes in the Senate is to have candidates who stand on principle,' DeMint said on CNN's 'State of the Union.'

He added that by wanting true conservatives to represent the party, 'I'm just talking about common-sense people who don't think that balancing a checkbook is a radical idea.'

Clever political ad; another reason to create jobs

This is one more example of how important job-creation is . . . and more reason to conclude that Barack Obama hates America ;)

"Meddling" is probably more accurate than "regulation"

This paragraph from Thomas Sowell's excellent op/ed today ("Inherited from Whom?" - National Review Online), caused me to conclude that the word "regulation" is probably inapt when discussing the impact of "Progressive" (Liberal) policy:

Another political fable is that the current economic downturn is due to not enough government regulation of the housing and financial markets. But it was precisely the government regulators, under pressure from politicians, who forced banks and other lending institutions to lower their standards for making mortgage loans.

It's politically unfortunate that the connotation of "regulate" is typicajavascript:void(0)lly benignly or even positively restrictive.
