"Why we homeschool"

I and my wife (mainly my wife) homeschool our oldest, who is starting first grade this year. We have various reasons for this choice, but I thought this list of reasons--from a homeschooling dad who is the news editor of his local paper, was thought-provoking and humorous (e.g., "no one, and I mean no one, has the right to teach my son to square dance.")

P.S. I actually enjoy square dancing, but appreciate his point.
