Senate Democrats have struggled to lay a glove on SCOTUS nominee John Roberts; unfortunately for them (though not for Americans), they were forced to battle this nominee on issues of relevance because they were unable to uncover something like a p*bic hair on a Coke can. Since Clarence Thomas' appointment, the Left--which has been steadily losing ideological support, has resorted to obfuscation (e.g., "Conservative judicial activism" is an oxymoron because of Conservative judicial philosophy) and personal attacks in their efforts to derail nominations.
