Splitting conservative base

Here's a report of the primary results for Illinois governor which demonstrates the potential problem with having too many "Conservatives" in a primary . . . the squishy candidate cruises to victory like a lackluster speed skater after the leaders crash and burn.

Unfortunately, the GOP primary for U.S. Senate could turn out the same way.
