(CNN) -- What? Really? You don't understand the new health care reform legislation? You find yourself confused? If you haven't mastered the minutiae on all 2,309 pages of the health care reform bill signed earlier this week by President Obama, there's nothing wrong with you -- even experts are having a hard time getting a grip on all the details.
So we've done the work for you. If you're going to take away just five things from the new legislation, here they are. If you manage to comprehend these five, give yourself an A+

This is outrageous! The news media's job is to put two people on TV saying opposing things and letting the viewer sort out who is telling the truth. What is with all of this "helping viewers understand" and "focusing on the policy implications of HCR reform" about?
You're right, and it's a good thing that CNN viewers aren't being spoon-fed their news like a bunch of mind-numbed robots. The "policy implications" in that article are ALL CNN's peeps need to know . . .
Seriously, right? I mean, they didn't even say one thing about how this is an unprecedented power grab, a "government takeover of health care," that the health care industry represents 20% of our GDP and now it is completely controlled by the Federal Government. I mean, none of that...sheesh. Hell, you'd think the fact that we now have roving death panels looking for grandparents to kill should at least make the top 5.
I don't know . . . I don't consistently watch or read CNN. But I do know that the "5 talking points for, er, things you need to know about the Democrats' healthcare plan" is kind of audacious . . . just as the (after the fact) campaign is cranking up.
If they had said, "five reasons why you should support the health care reform bill", I might see the audacity. But simply stating what they believe to be the 5 most important elements that are most likely to impact the readers/viewers, seems fairly reasonable to me.
Maybe you're right. Though I have no doubt that every employee at CNN was losing sleep over whether this bill would pass, it makes sense that they won't look for the unintended consequences of the bill (however, if the bill was Conservative in nature . . .)
