Nutroots discover "sermons on-line"

Though not in time to adequately vet Democratic candidate Barack Obama, it appears that the Liberal nutroots have discovered that church sermons are available on-line. "Palin's Church May Have Shaped Controversial Worldview," Nico Pitney and Sam Stein on the Huffington Post.

I'm kind of doubting they'll conclude that Obama's church for the last 20 years has "shaped" his worldview.

Perhaps not but the right wing kooks certainly thought it did...turnabout is fair play for Palin and her 32 years at this church.

It's a fool's errand to try and get into the mindset of the nutroots. They probably knew all about Jeremiah Wright and just didn't see him as an obstacle to an Obama Administration. Hopefully they'll be wrong about that.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough . . . I believe a person's church--the message that a person chooses to hear week in and week out for decades, is very relevant. Let the analysis and debate begin . . .

I dunno Dan. The nutroot-types always have had to hold their nose in reference to Black church and overt religiousness. Like the cat in that FarSide comic strip "What a cat hears: blahblahblah," All the Left hears is "blahblahblah" when working Democrat campaign rallies in black churches.

Indeed Ned, did you know you are going to hell if you criticize your Pastor or President?

No, No, No...Not God Damn America, God Damn the American People; for not supporting our President.

Yes, Obama "criticized" Wright after folks discovered his online archives. And Wright certainly needed criticizing.

So does "America," on occasion, but it's not always wrong.

Ned,

But apparently, according to her pastor, if you criticize your pastor or your President (if he/she is a Republican) you are going to hell.

That is just as pertinent to the political discussion as whether or not Wright said "God Damn America".

Oh, missed that. Then I guess she showed good judgment in leaving that church 12 years ago, huh?

And, just so anyone passing by doesn't get the wrong idea, Wright actually did say "God damn America."

She left the church 12 years ago? Hadn't heard that.

Well, my bad. I was going from your numbers, actually, as I read that she changed churches at least a couple years ago and was 44 years old. I guess we need to get over to HuffPo to get the facts on this . . .
