A couple things about George Tiller's murder

AC Kleinheider's has posted a statement from "all around religious rightist" Richard Land regarding this weekend's murder of late-term abortionist George Tiller, M.D. (Richard Land Rebukes Abortion Provider Assassination). In response to various commenters to the post:

--The State has the authority to deprive someone of life within specific guidelines, despite what hippies may say. Tiller's killer was not acting on behalf of the State.

--Performing a partial-birth abortion is not, yet, a capital offense, so executing a partial-birth abortionist is not legal.

--It is rich to see someone quote the "golden rule" in arguing for intentionally ending the life of a child only months prior to birth.

These right-wing killers were clearly incited by the likes of Bill O'Reilly (who demonized Tiller 29 times on his show) and three decades of hate from the Christian right ... just as O'Reilly's book was read by the killer at the Unitarian Church in Knoxville, who killed 'because he hated liberals.'

Nice 'culture of life' you got there. Kill abortion doctors, start wars based on lies, kill and torture brown-skinned people to justify your actions ... all in the name of God and GW Bush, and all for nothing.

Since 1977 in the United States and Canada, crimes committed against abortion providers have included 6 murders, 17 attempted murders, 383 death threats, 153 incidents of assault or battery, and 3 kidnappings, 41 bombings, 173 arsons, 91 attempted bombings or arsons, 619 bomb threats, 1630 incidents of trespassing, 1264 incidents of vandalism, and 100 attacks with butyric acid.

I have to say, I've seen an amazing amount of celebrating from the white Christian wingnut blogosphere on Tiller's death. These must be the right wing terrorists that Homeland Security has warned us about. The Tiller's killer belonged to a group called the Freemen - a self proclaimed "Christian patriot" group. Many of those right wing terrorists are now in jail. These are some of the most hateful, hypocritical, bigoted unAmerican people in the country.

Thanx for showing us your true colors ... culture of life, indeed.

It is now confirmed, Tiller's killer Scott Roeder was not a lone actor. He was working in cooperation with anti-abortion group, Operation Rescue. This is now a confirmed terrorist organization guilty of a federal crime.

Well, that's not exactly what your link reflects, but, hey, did you hear what Richard Land had to say about the murder?

Of course noone wants to be responsible for inciting murder, while they privately celebrate such murders. Take for example, Jill Stanek, a woman that both Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity have featured on their Fox News programs as credible, has posted pictures and addresses of the nation's only two remaining late-term abortion providers ... before the body of Tiller was cold. A call to jihad, soldiers for Christ.

We know who the real terrorists are. Homeland Security - take note.
